Montblanc 221 began its debut in early 1970's to replace the sleek duo No.2X & No.3X. This pen becoming stable roster to fit in Montblanc's mid range roster along with slimline & noblesse across the 1980's. in 1990's the company tweak & rebrand the model and later known as "Classic" and ended up in "Generation". This exact pen had similar features of 221 with pre-classic nib (stamped with 14ct Snowflake M emblem) with W-Germany inscription on the cap band, this might be pre-classic model / transition (1988-1990) before the company fully rebrand the 221 to classic in 1993. New old stock complete with box, paper and soft box, uninked and comes with converter.
